Challenge

The objective is to set up and migrate a new gateway instance on the Navision server and configure it within Office 365 to support all existing on-premises SQL connectors. The goal is to establish and configure a new on-premises gateway instance with the various current SQL connectors in Microsoft 365, and then test the applications after the gateway configuration is completed

The decommissioning of the old gateway Windows server and the transition to the ATOS Navision server, along with the successful migration and testing of on-premises SQL connectors in PowerApps applications, significantly enhanced business operations. By enabling the creation and utilization of new and existing solutions and flow automation, the company was able to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and leverage their existing Office 365 licenses, ultimately driving greater productivity and ease of business management.

Solution

The new gateway instance was installed on the Navision Windows server. The gateway was then configured in Office 365 with service accounts, and the existing on-premises SQL connectors were recreated. Finally, the PowerApps applications configured with the new on-premises gateway were tested.
